About

After working in the secretarial field for the past 22 years, I chose to return to school in 2014 to study graphic design. I've always loved art, and have been the "make it pretty" person in every office I've worked in. I thought it was time to jump in and officially become a graphic designer.

I'm fortunate to have a fantastic position with state government. My office is very open to trying new things, and supportive of continuing education. While I was hired to work as a secretary, they quickly recognized that I could do much more and worked to reclassify my position and provide me with more responsibilities.

I currently assist with project management and handle the advertising and program design for our fall and spring state school improvement conferences, as well as the web design for my office. I also serve on our social media team and provide technical assistance to users of our online reporting platform.
In addition to working full time and going to school, I pick up freelance projects here and there, and volunteer for the Life as a Zebra Foundation, designing the program for their annual benefit concert.
